Clarifications of Courtesy Pass Entitlements

This is not a complete listing and other restrictions might apply

We are in the "business" of raising money for charity, and as such, will do all we can for the bottom-line donation to the charity. That is our goal and will remain so. Our approach must be Nobody Gets A Free Ride. Passes are distributed to those who have donated or performed tasks that directly add to the bottomline donation figure and without whom the event cannot succeed.

Passes are a courtesy and in exchange for an important concept - the success of the festival as it translates into donation figure prospects for the charity, in exchange for sponsor dollar donations, in exchange for supporter dollars, and as compensation for designated duties and minimum of work time on the day of the fest. Courtesy passes are issued for the following, definitions are not limited, but are condensed for space and time. Good common sense and our dedication to high donation amounts through each event explains the reasons behind it. and individual considerations may be made, depending upon the circumstances and dollar intake potential of permitting free admissions, and in helping secure fest day manual labor and legwork necessary to allow the organizers to continue to present these events long-term. Decision of the organizers is final as to issuance of festival passes.

The following individuals and organizations will be issued a courtesy pass.

All others must assume that a pass will not be issued.

If you need more information, you may email your question to The Endless Mountains Blues Fest organizers.

Who Will Receive a Courtesy Pass to our Festivals for charity

- Donating bands and their crew
- Vendors per criteria set forth on the applications
- Sound tech and his crew
-The organizers of the event
-Raffle Coordinators
-Any representative from the benefiting charity arranged in advance
- Event Emcee

- ***Elmhurst Township Recreation Committee representatives/members working the concession stand - all names and number of passes required will be submitted to us in advance, approved, and concert admission bracelets issued for exactly that number of workers.

-volunteers assigned in advance and rostered/scheduled for a festival-related duty or chore at the field the day before, the day of, or cleanup after, the Endless Mountains Blues Fest. These chores include and are not limited to Security personnel, gate duty, parking lot supervision and coordination, early set up of tents and miscellaneous duties to free organizers to prepare for the event, and clean up beginning 15 minutes prior to the ending of the event.

- Sponsors- only those who donate a dollar figure as specified on our festival sponsorship form will be issued a pass, and how many passes received is based on that dollar figure. Donations of equipment, discounts on services, and "gifts" to the organization used to help in the planning and presentation or fundraising capabilities of our events do not qualify. Neither do fundraising or promotions on our behalf. Ticket outlet volunteers/sponsors do not receive a free pass for volunteering that courtesy. "supporters" who sign on to help with the organization's expenses throughout the year receive a pass to the upcoming concert as a thank you for the amount listed on the supporter form.

-*** Individuals committed to voluntarily sell tickets with the goal of acquiring advance sales on our behalf selling a minimum of 20 tickets and submitting proceeds for the minimum 20 tickets prior to the day of the event will receive a pass per 20 tickets sold and paid to us in advance of the event. Arrangements for this volunteer activity must be arranged in advance and does not apply to our voluntary ticket outlets.

- Media who will have an on-site "live" all-day remote broadcast of our event will be issued passes for the staff needed to perform that donation.

Partial Listing of Who Does Not Qualify For a Pass To The Event
if you have a question about whether you should receive a pass, please email us

We make money for charity. That's our job. Issuance of free passes is quite limited. The following is a partial listing based on previous problems dealing with this issue.

- Additional drivers  or spouses of volunteers or bands

- buddies helping a volunteer or keeping them company who are not rostered to work a minimum amount of hours at a particular duty. Volunteers showing up on the day of the fest who are not rostered to work in advance.

- vendors are issued a free pass with their purchase of their spaces. Passes are issued to one helper per table rented.

- sponsors who do not contribute the minimum dollar amount specified on the festival sponsor applications

- donors of merchandise, those who give discounts, provide giveaways, promote our event through word of mouth, hanging posters, distributing flyers, acquiring sponsorships on our behalf, individuals raising money through their own organizations by conducting a fundraiser for the benefit of the charity we are working for

- Musicians attending the fest who are not on the band roster and signed into a contract for a donation of performance. Donating a performance during the fest or accepting a contracted band's invitation to do so is not just cause for a festival pass. Friends or spouses of bands must purchase an advance or gate ticket.

- Local dignitaries, township representatives not working directly on the presentation of our event, political figures

- Volunteers "standing by" or "available if we need them" on day of fest not scheduled to work

- Print and all media promoters - Promoting our event and making public service announcements, performing ticket giveaways, sponsoring by donating print advertising do not qualify for a free pass. These will be considered donations in support of a local charity raising funds for regional charities and must be given freely with no strings attached. We appreciate whatever is done to promote our event and raise the potential for a large check to charity. These do entitle you to be listed in all of our print and web media areas as sponsors of our event.

- Photographers, reporters, publicists do not receive passes to our events.

- Members of councils, local or regional help groups, local or any type of government entity, associations or community groups, representatives of other non-profit organizations will not be issued passes.

Our admission prices are donations to the charity we are representing at each event.
Those who do not qualify for passes may purchase advance ticket discounts at any listed outlet or fest organizer.

Exceptions or additions to the above are at the discretion of the festival organizers
