The name of the organization shall be known as The Endless Mountains Blues Festival™

The Endless Mountains Blues Fest replaces the title of our organization and remains the goal, as the charitable service. The responsible individuals and planners of the charity event shall be named "Organizers" and listed on documents, the charity organization and entity shall be referred to as The Endless Mountains Blues Fest™.

We are a private charity organization and we perform one charitable function per year, The Endless Mountains Blues Festival™, with all profits donated to a designated charity. No donations from this festival are kept and no organizer or volunteer, staff, is paid or derives gain or potential gain, tangible or intangible, from this event and our charity work.

Note:The name Scranton/Wilkes Barre Blues Association will remain on various paperwork, along with Endless Mountains Blues Fest™ and trademarked mission statement "charity through music". The event is to be considered the official name and specific description of our charity organization.

We are all volunteers and do not receive compensation or percs for our charity fundraising.

Our name, and the phrases/Titles "Charity Through Music"™ and Endless Mountains Blues Festival™ are our officially stated trademarks, official public use of trademark beginning in 2003 describes who we are and what we do.

Mission Statement: "Charity Through Music"™ - annual concerts organized and presented for the sole benefit of a local, regional or national charity organization. No one benefits from our work but the designated charity.  

Preserving, promoting the blues and live music in Pennsylvania. The Endless Mountains Blues Fest operates as a not-for-profit charity music organization, under 501(c)(3) guidelines.

Organizers of our festival and supporting sponsors do not in any way benefit from, or derive income from, any of the festival's fund-raising activities. All proceeds are used to organize and present annual music festivals, and all profits from said festivals will be donated to the designated charity. Fund-raising activities and proceeds from the sale of  merchandise will specify whether the funds will be donated to a charity, or used by the organization in  presenting annual music events, where the profits will be donated to a designated charity organization and advertised publicly. Proceeds donated to the charity organization will be published online and transmitted electronically by email and announcements.

All profits from all events will be donated to a designated charity. Annual  support donations will be used to organize and present these charity concerts. We keep no money from our charity concert events. Bills are paid, checks sent to the designated charity for the remainder.

Organizers of the festival shall hold informal meetings if deemed necessary and is agreeable to the other organizers to discuss the successful outcome of the charity fund-raising concert events. We hold no public meetings.

The Endless Mountains Blues Fest organizers shall be responsible for all financial records and reports; shall maintain the financial records in good order, and shall render accurate financial reports to any other organization or entity having legal entitlement to the information. This would include a financial report after any festival as requested by a charity organization on whose behalf the festival has been held.

No one shall reap any type of tangible or intangible reward or be offered services or admission to our events gratis in exchange for their support or promotion of our charity endeavors except for our Festival Sponsors donating monetary sponsorships, who will receive a pass to the event depending upon the value of their donations, specified on our sponsor forms and within this website. Sponsorships, vendor rental fees, admissions, all are earmarked for charity fundraising use and donations.

All performances will be donated by bands and musicians as a charity effort and bands performing receive no recompense other than a meal.

Responsibilities-  organize and present concerts for charity, and present the designated charity with a contribution of the profits, after expenses, of said concert in the name of The Endless Mountains Blues Fest. Any and all decisions related to charity concerts are made by the organizers separately and as a unit.

Dissolution

Upon the dissolution of the organization named Endless Mountains Blues Fest, the organizers and volunteers, after making provision for the payment of all of the liabilities of the organization, in such manner, to such organizations organized and operated exclusively for charitable, educational, religious or scientific purposes as shall at the time qualify as an exempt organization under section 501c 3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 (or corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law), as the Officers and volunteer shall determine. Any such assets not so disposed of shall be disposed of by the court of common pleas of the county in which the principal office of the Endless Mountains Blues Fest™ is then located, exclusively for such purposes as said Court shall determine, which are organized and operated exclusively for such purposes.

- all funds are for festival operating expenses and are considered a donation to the charities. We do not hold public meetings or public fund-drives for our benefit. We do encourage public support through "supporter" donations to and at our festivals with the end goal in mind - raising funds and donating to charity, plan the next event, and to continue in our work as the Endless Mountains Blues Fest. We do accept and appreciate donations to the charity designated as the beneficiary of each concert on their behalf.
